About Me

I am Dora Santos, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, an educator, a professional coach. I am the youngest of four daughters and have grown up in a loving, kind and traditional immigrant family. My family’s Portuguese heritage and culture has impacted my view of the world around us. It has helped me to see the beauty and worthiness in all people no matter what culture, religion, or ethnicity. 

I am a mother of two beautiful daughters, ages 14 and 22, who have brought so much love, fun, light, and joy to my life. Being a mother to these two has been the best gift I have ever received. They have taught me so much about life, but above all, they have taught and continue to teach me so much about myself. 

I am a teacher. I have been an educator for twenty-five fulfilling years. Through these years, I have been blessed with so many amazing students, colleagues, and friends who have inspired me to continue to learn and grow. This journey has taught me the value of love, authenticity, and relationships. Whether inside or outside of my classroom, I have always focused on developing meaningful relationships with my students, my peers, and the community. 

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love the beach and watching sunsets and sunrises. I appreciate traveling and learning about different cultures, customs, traditions, and languages.  I value authenticity, intellectual curiosity, meaningful conversations, and genuine relationships.
